Looks like the resignation of my ex-colleagues and ex-manager has been a blessing in disguise for me; their decision not to include me in their partnership might be good for me as I am the only left in the company.
fyi, they have formed two companies and are now fighting in the same battlegrounds as us.
It has been a week, and clearly it has affected the biz upstairs a bit but at my own shop, I am still conquering my own battlefield. I have been promoted to take charge of our little shop, he calls me a shop manager but I am just someone doing sales and taking care of one colleague working with me. That's all.
But from next week onwards, things might change. I might be in charge of the whole company and the two shops and I will spend my time up there doing sales, running around. I might not hit the sales target for the main shop, but I will definitely make it a hard fight for them.
They are just too arrogant and over-confident. They need to learn what is humility and live peacefully with others. We don't have to burn any bridges when we leave.
For Singapore is too small.
You never know who you will meet or what will happen next.
This might also be an opportunity to learn how to apply my business and management skills in a practical manner. Though I am worried that my foul temper might not be suitable to be a manager, but I will definitely learn some tactics from my pal.
Using our company as a testing platform, it might be useful for me if I am going to have my own business later.
I have lots of plans.
First of all I am going to screw the suppliers.
Secondly I am going to hire more sales staff.
Thirdly I am going to hire a company secretarial firm to do our company administrative duties.
Fourthly I am going to hire an accountant.
Next I am going to change my image, get rid of my boyish look so that people won't think that I am a poly student or after O-levels working part-time.
So let's see if I can last 3 months.
Me? A Manager?
