Final day!

Great, tomorrow will be the day where I book out of this annual "holiday prison camp" and get to enjoy my one week break. My babez must have missed me very much, same here. haha..(mushy)

Got to know one new chap that weren't with us last year. He is 2 years older than me and he looks so younger than me! Bei, tell your friends to stop saying that I look young. He didn't managed to come to camp due to whatever reason that I have forgotten, and he had to serve DB just because he couldn't pay up the fine of $100 on the spot and the bloody officer didn't allow him to go out to withdraw money from the atm! Strange guy indeed. While we were all iin the bunk at night, he was watching tv alone in the canteen, and the best thing is that my friend told me that he took 2 hours to shower and its usually during midnight alone! We went for sushi when we went to west mall for a short lunch and he said it was his first time in singapore that he had sushi. I was suprised when he said he was working as a techician part-time and only earning $500 per 2 weeks, and imagine when he has to deduct cpf! How lucky I am earning much more than him. Well, i might be able to find something for him to do when my business gets running smoothly.

The end of my reservist camp will also mean no more 2nd hand cigarrette smoke inhalation, imagine when there are only 5 non smokers out of 25. Once i inhaled the smoke from one cigarette, my life gets deducted one minute. Yew, Im gonna hate them for that. And I really understand the theory when warm air rises. I am sleeping at the upper deck and the damn fan by the brand of "windy" is blowing cigarette smoke to me! Next year I will definitely request my officer to arrange the non smokers to the another small dorm.

Gone will be the days where you hear loud shrieking ah ah sounds coming out from the porn video clips from their laptops and handphones. Those hooked hot-blooded malay guys had it all well prepared: local chinese, malay, indian, japanese, ang moh and else. You name it they have it. At least without it, my blood pressure will be more stabilised.

I will finally do not have to bear with loud R&B music and mud rock music playing from cheapo speakers and china handphones. Well, at least a year la.

Same goes for the regular disgusting grope and scratch routine of their crotches as if their family jewels were infested with unfriendly bugs. Wherever and whenever. Sia suey.

I am like an EEE Pc product evangelist, they awed at the smallness of my EEE Pc and were all curious about the specs and the cost. And they were surprised when it was so cheap and "not bad" good. Hey ASUS! Do you want to give me commission or not! I can get a lot of potential buyers if you still have the 4gb on sale!

Most of the guys that brought their laptops here are using M1 broadband and we all lament about the slow connection that it gets. Was trying to view channelnewsasia online but to no avail. Just too slow.

I will be wearing my dirty uniform that I wore during our mock exercise, for I can't be bothered. Once I go back home, I will do my annual ritual by dumping all my uniforms, t-shirts, underwears and shorts into the washing machine and later putting my uniforms in the bag and throwing it in a corner of the storeroom where it would only find its purpose next year. Then I will ask my maid to take it out for me and find me my boots.

Sorry, Siti. We are all pampered by you and sometimes we even complained about you not doing enough. But I really respect you for taking a double role of being a housekeeper and a caregiver to my grandma. Without you, she wouldn't have recovered so far. We are sad to let you go on 29 aug but you still have a mother to look after. Hope you can be happy in whatever you do, and maybe there might be a chance where fate chances upon you and our family again and welcoming you to be a part of our big, fun, sometimes difficult and yet appreciative family again. Ah ma will probably miss you the most, for you were there during her most difficult moments.
