I took various personality tests and found out that I am INFP. The kind which is introverted and like to avoid attention at all costs.
Some descriptions of INFP types are they are people who like working alone and tend to keep to ourselves. Enjoys spending time with some close friends and like to listen to others, but don't share much about ourselves. We are easily inspired and very innovative, very creative and get bored easily if we don't get a chance to express ourselves. We like to learn new things and we don't like doing the same routine.
How right is that.
As previously shared in my post, about my career choices as to match my personality, I could be a starving artist, an old-fashioned historian, a highly-pumped banker, a dreamy novelist, a studious lecturer, an aspiring photographer, a caring vet, an impartial paralegal, a creative graphic or web designer, a conformed online content developer or a empathetic counselor or psychologist.
I would enjoy writing but given that there isn't much successful millionaire writers in Singapore, I would give it a miss. And moreover, my reading of non-fiction books for the past 10 years haven't really helped much in my literary skills.
How about a web designer or a online content developer?
- I'm looking out for further education in that field, could be a degree for that matter. But it seems that there isn't much school out there.
Or a counselor or psychologist?
- I know that to be qualified as a psychologist, you need to study more than a degree and there is lot of institutions that offers psychology as a degree. Being a counselor would be also interesting but further education than a degree would be needed too.
Being a designer would probably earn me good money else where like what my brother is doing overseas but maybe not in Singapore. But anything goes, if you are a damn creative individual, companies would headhunt you for your service. Doesn't really matter if you have that amount of industrial experience as compared to a normal office job but it's really the exploding creativity that you have.
Having experience in human resource field, I find a kick in listening to people; be it their concerns or their experiences in life. I believe I have a cute face that appears friendly to others and I have no qualms that they wouldn't like me after all.
But meanwhile, smacking myself into reality which dreaming is a favourite thing that INFPs do, I gotta work hard and gain myself more commission so as I can proceed with my studies and find my own career.
Oh, I'm INFP.
